Welcome to Buying Diatomaceous Earth. Diatomaceous Earth also know as DE is an amazing product product made from tiny fresh water fossil size plants. These plants are then crushed and look very similar to baby power.
When looked at through a microscope (see picture on the right) you can see the sharp edges of DE. These sharp edges is what makes Diatomaceous Earth so effective against all types of critters. From bed bugs to fleas, ants and SO much more….
When taken by people Diatomaceous Earth is very effective at removing parasites, heavy metals, toxins and builds strong bones, teeth, skin and hair do to being high in natural silica.
When Buying Diatomaceous Earth It’s very important not to get Food Grade DE and Pool Grade DE mixed up. Pool grade DE has been chemically process and is to ONLY be used for pools.
The Most Common Use’s of Diatomaceous Earth
- Humans- I would suggest seeing an ND or MD before starting to take Diatomaceous Earth
- Pets- Always a good idea to add about 2% to your pets food or where you store your pets food. You can use Diatomaceous Earth on there beds to get rid of fleas, lice, parasites and so on. May be be used on there fir as well. Basically where ever your pets hang out its a good idea to put some Diatomaceous Earth down.
- All Live Stock- There are many benefits to using Diatomaceous Earth in live stock. Kills parasites with out chemicals. Stops fly larvae from developing in manure. Add Diatomaceous Earth to live stock water will keep the water much cleaner. To many examples to list them all. I think you get the idea.
- Home Uses - Any where you think you might have some critters hiding is where I would sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth. From your bed to your couch or carpet. Put a little DE on your tooth paste for a cleaner and whiter smile. Some folks even make a paste and spread it on there face and leave it for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off.
- Garden- You need to use a Duster and cover the entire area you are aiming to treat. You may also mix Diatomaceous Earth into the soil as well.
Suggested Dosage- Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth
- Humans- Check with your ND or MD before supplementing with DE. Me and my family use 1 heaping teaspoon on DE each morning in our favorite juice or water. May be used in a smoothie as well.
- Large Dog- 1-1.5 tablespoons per day
- Small Dog- 1 teaspoon per day
- Cat- 1/2 teaspoon per day
- Cow- 1/2 cup per day
- Calf- 1/4 cup per day
- Horse 1/2 cup per day
